What do you call one chav on the moon? A problem. What do you call two chavs on the moon? A problem. What do you call all of the chavs in the world on the moon? Problem solved. How do you get them up there? Tell them there's a buckit of bling on the moon. Watch them build there space shuttles faster than you can say freeky fwoof!
Okay, this one required some interpretation on my part, and I don't know if I got it right, help me out here.
Well Bob, if it makes you feel any better, I'm British and I didn't get it either.
Thanks for the research Bob, but I don't get it either and generally don't have the patience to research a joke I don't get.
This one caught me on a good day. Ordinarily, I would have just passed it by. Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't get it. Harp your reassurance is particularly refreshing as I thought it was a british thing.
It was a joke that a friend said that I should put up here, so I did. I am going to let him know that people around the world thought that it sucked.
Next time tell your friend to put up his own jokes. <grin>
Or if they're anything like this one, tell him just not to bother at all! *Grin*
I have heard the term freeky fwoof on a singing dectalk file. In it, a computerized voices says freeky fwoof a number of times to a drum beat, sometimes at different speeds. It's all most like a tongue twister. Beyond that I have no idea what it means. Hope this discription helps.
In my meager experience, this has been the most researched, most discussed joke. Maybe you just had to have been there.
OK, I'm really not this pedantic, but it's kinda fun getting cross-cultural slang discussions inspired by crap jokes, so...
Bling actually refers to cheap, but flashy jewellery, usually gaudy and obviously fake. I think the origins were right though, and I like the onomatopoeia thing. Never thought of that.
Freeky Fwoof is something made up by the cool dubes at tbrn. Oh, and I can't tell him to poast them himself, he doesn't have an acount here.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but you referred to "cool dubes at tbrn", what the heck is that?
